IGNITE THE PAST. UNITE THE FUTURE.

What is 810NICLE Day?

810NICLE Day is an annual live streamed event hosted by members of Mask of Destiny, BIONICLESector01, and more that aims to celebrate everything about the BIONICLE franchise and its wonderful community. The event is run every August 10th.

How long does 810NICLE Day run for?

The exact runtime of 810NICLE Day varies as it is directly influenced by the amount of content submitted for us to showcase. Since 2021, our event has run for 2 days with the tentative introduction of a third in 2025. We are however, always looking for ways the event can be improved including but not limited to increased vetting of submissions and condensing of content into a shorter span of time. As such, if it is deemed that the event should return to a 1 day format, then that is something we are always open to considering as well.

Where does my feedback go? Why bother submitting?

The 810NICLE Day team pride ourselves on being receptive to feedback and adapting to the changing needs of our audience, for without whom, this event simply could not exist. Every year before production begins in earnest, our team sit down as a group and individually review every submission to our feedback survey. Every submission goes directly towards making the following year's event even better. Without your feedback, we would have no way of knowing what needs to change, so we always encourage everyone to submit their thoughts, be them positive or negative!

If you would like to make your voice heard for this and future 810NICLE Day events, you can find this survey on our feedback page.

Why not run the event on a weekend or in October?

While we are generally quite flexible when it comes to the air date for this event, audience feedback has shown a preference towards the exact date of the event's namesake. (August 10th) Additionally, our current use of the American date format largely just comes down to most of our staff being US-based, and that our schedules are not as easy to coordinate during the fall as they are during the summer months.

Why are certain events always so late?

Segments placed at or near end-of-day, (in particular The Joy of Piraka and the Red Star Games TTRPG one-shots) are placed where they are in the interest of time management. These are segments for which we do not want to impose a hard limit on their creators, and thus are given the end-of-day time slots to allow their respective events to remain open-ended, and not be restricted to a specific runtime.

Will you run a MOC spotlight segment?

This has been one of our most consistent requests over the last several years, and while we would love to include this, (and have made attempts in the past) our current infrastructure to run such a thing just isn't quite there, and content submissions of this nature have been too few to justify developing a dedicated segment from the ground up.

What is Beyond BIONICLE and what place does it have here?

Beyond BIONICLE is, and continues to be a segment where creative individuals or groups inspired by the world of BIONICLE have a place to showcase their creations that otherwise are not directly tied to BIONICLE in any way. As relations between our community and The LEGO Group have increasingly degraded in recent years, it is now more important than ever that folks who love BIONICLE but want to break free from its chains are given a space to be seen. While we will always be receptive to critique regarding this segment and how it is run, it will continue to be a staple of the 810NICLE Day event for years to come.

How can I get involved with 810NICLE Day's production?

If you're somebody who would like to help out with the production of future 810NICLE Day events, or a creative professional involved with the BIONICLE franchise that would like to join in the festivities, you can contact us directly at any time at 810NICLEDay@maskofdestiny.com.
